This hands-on workshop is for those who have an appreciation for silver artisan jewelry and who have a desire to learn how to create their own. In this fun class, we will work with easy to manipulate .999 fine silver clay to create beautiful one-of-a-kind silver jewelry. We will texturize, and embellish the clay to create hollow beads, pendants and earrings. Once the pieces dry, the work goes into the kiln and emerges as fine silver! Next, we polish and add beautiful patinas to the silver and lastly assemble the jewelry. At the end of the workshop you will come away with at least one piece of fine silver jewelry and the knowledge and skills to create many more pieces of wearable art in the comfort of your own home!
All materials and tools are provided, accept for the silver clay. I will send you the info needed regarding purchasing the clay.
The cost for the workshop includes the additional materials used. Currently, my studio is unaccessible, which means I will come to you!
Two different options available:
Workshop Option A - One 7-hour day (9am to 4pm)
• Choose one project for group (list of several projects to
choose from will be provided).
• Kiln will run during lunch hour in preparation for
finishing techniques
The cost for the workshop is $150 per person, minimum 2 people, maximum 6*
Workshop Option B - Two 6-hour days.
• Learn all of the tips and tricks to create silver metal clay jewelry in your
own home using repurposed items for tools
• Create as many of your own designs as you make.
• Firing will be done off premises between sessions
The cost for the workshop is $250 per person, minimum 2 people, maximum 6*
*The first 20 miles of my travel to your location is included. Any further distance will be calculated and charged at $1 per mile each way (due during workshop).
